Triangles Injured in Serious Auto Accident

On Friday, October 17th a group of five chapter Brothers from the University of Houston were in route to a chapter retreat in Laredo, Texas.  While switching lanes, the driver observed a tire on the interstate and swerved to avoid it.  The vehicle lost control and rolled over 5-6 times.  In the process, two of the five Brothers were thrown from the vehicle and the other three were pinned inside. Although they were seriously injured, fortunately, all survived the crash and are now on long roads to recovery.

Armour Chapter Alumni Gather in Napa for a Splendid Reunion

In early October 2008, forty-seven Armour alumni and wives joined for the 50-year reunion of the Triangle Fraternity graduation class of 1958. Alumni present represented initiation classes between 1954 and 1960. After a reception in Napa, California on the evening of Monday, October 6, the group ventured out into Napa Valley. After a tour and tasting at Clos

Du Val Winery, the group went to Storybook Mountain Vineyards for a picnic lunch followed by a wine blending experience. Each person in attendance blended portions of three wines to produce the "perfect" wine. Winery owner and winemaker, Jerry Seps, judged the blends and awarded a bottle of wine to each person at the winning picnic table. Dinner that evening was at Bistro Don Giovanni in Napa.
Bob Patten ar01 Honored for 30 Years of Armour Service

On November 8th, Bob Patten ar01 was honored at a special reception for his many years of service to the Armour Chapter. Bob has served for 30 years as their live-in house director and cook.  Brian Tenclinger, Triangle Executive Director and Leo Glass, Director of Chapter Development had the very fortunate opportunity to present Bob with a Proclamation at the dinner where over 200 people attended. The Proclamation came at
the end of the evening where alumni, including the Active President from 1978 who hired Bob, paid tribute to his contributions. There were many, many laughs as well as a few touching moments.
